Rafael "Congo' Castro dances to the music of Tito Rodriguez and his Orchestra, during the First celebration of the Festival de San Juan, held at the Chicago Avenue Armory (today is the site of the Chicago Museum of Contemporary Arts), on June 24, 1956. This event was sponsored by the Caballeros de San Juan and the Chicago Catholic Archdiocese. Years later this event came to be known as Chicago's Puerto Rican Parade.
